Ian's started his fulltime pipe-making business on 1st October 1993 at 56 Albion Rd in a former takeaway shop, located a few meters from Hibs Football Stadium off Easter Rd in Edinburgh.

By 1998, with their second child on the way, Ian and Julie-Anne decided to relocate nearer to family in Angus where they set up their next workshop in Brechin Business Park for a few years before managing to move the machines into a workshop beside their house in Prior Rd, Forfar.

The next move was to Edzell in 2006 where Ian built his next workshop in the garden of their new home, Firwood. He has been working in this workshop for the last 20 years.
