The Journey

Kinnear bagpipes began in 1993 but Ian's piping journey began much earlier with an enthusiasm for piping which began as a schoolboy in Kingussie where he had tuition from John Macdougall and David Taylor. Here are some pictures charting the journey from early days in Kingussie through pipe bands in his twenties to becoming involved with bellows pipes and the collaborations that allowed with other instruments.

Our first workshop premises were in Albion Rd, Edinburgh over 30 years ago. 1998 saw a move to Angus where we have had 3 different workshops over the years in Brechin, Forfar and currently Edzell. We have put together some photos of the various workshops as well as a selection of catalogues and promotional materials from our years in business.
