Uilleann Pipes

I have always been drawn to the haunting tonal quality and musical possibilities of the uilleann pipes, and in 2014 I started making them. With a conical chanter that plays over 2 octaves, 3 octaves of drones and 3 regulators it is, for me, the ultimate pipe-making challenge. I make my D concert pitch uilleann pipes in a range of woods – Ebony, African Blackwood, Honduran Rosewood and Boxwood with contrasting wood mounts and brass metal work.
