Home after a brilliant weekend as guest tutor at the Ian Kinnear smallpipe course in Tarfside, Glen Esk Terrific piping and tremendous craic with a wonderful group of characters! Nothing quite like it to lift the spirits…quite literally! Many thanks to Ian, Julie-Anne and all involved!

Just wanted to thank you and Julie-Anne for a great weekend. I appreciate how much work must go into doing this both before and during the weekend. I thought the venue was very good, and provided a better space for playing especially in the evenings. 

As I said yesterday, I wasn’t too sure that I liked a couple of the tunes beforehand abut by the end when we were playing them I came to enjoy all of them and that must be down to the quality of the teaching from yourself and Colin. The other big thing I took out of the weekend was the chance to contribute a few tunes on Saturday evening. I’ve always, as you know, been a bit nervous of playing in front of anyone else but the environment and the chance to play with others helped my confidence greatly so thanks for that.

I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend in November and would like to take part again.

I thought it was an excellent venue and really enjoyed it, especially the lack of wifi and mobile signal.

The pictures are a great reminder of a really good weekend.
